    Laura has many years of experience  helping people with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, addiction, problems with performance and work-related issues.

    Specialized training is in helping people with post-traumatic stress, whether it is due to having experienced trauma in childhood or adulthood.

Single incident trauma might include:   

• sexual assault, molestation, physical abuse
• natural disasters
• auto accidents 
• medical traumas.

Childhood trauma might include: 

• emotionally abusive or neglectful parents
• having suffered significant losses or abandonment
• ongoing sexual or physical abuse by family or other members of the community
• abuse by a person in a position of trust like clergy, teachers or other authority figures

Ongoing trauma in adult life might include:

• an emotionally or physically abusive relationship
• medical trauma
• work-place trauma
• an emotionally or physically abusive relationship with a parent or sibling

CONSULTATION AND SUPERVISION FOR CLINICIANS

Laura currently offers EMDR consultation groups for clinicians who want to continue improving their EMDR skills.  Laura is an EMDRIA approved consultant.  Hours in supervision count towards meeting the requirements for basic training (www.emdr.com)  and for certification as an EMDR therapist (www.emdria.org).

Consultation and supervision is also available on an individual basis.
